It’s NH Gives time!
The Woodman Museum has long been considered a "hidden gem" on the seacoast. It's time to change that by drawing your attention to the fact that this location is so much more than a museum. It's a beautiful campus on which you can enjoy your lunch hour, meet with friends, or participate in one of the many art, music, and family events we have planned for this season.
We want the community to see this as a third space; as a location at which you can hold your client appreciation events, weddings, art shows, or concerts. With your help, our active board and energetic staff can make that happen...
In order to do this, we need to ensure the buildings are restored to their former glory and updated where necessary. One such update is to the Hale House. An ADA Accessible bathroom means more of the campus becomes accessible and convenient for everyone. It also means making the move to an open campus a possibility; freeing up staff and volunteers to maintain the museum and create new opportunities and exhibits for our visitors. It opens up the possibility of overnight events for youth organizations, more space for after school programming; all things that allow the museum to create more value and bring in much needed revenue so that we can continue to grow and serve New Hampshire!
It's an investment in the museum and preserving the history of the seacoast, but it's also an investment in a dedicated staff who wish to make access to opportunities for all community members a priority.
