🎈THE BEST INSURANCE VALUE FOR YOU🎈

Commercial trucking is a difficult business to get into and be successful at. The day-to-day operations of driving a commercial truck are also problematic for many owner-operators who drive their own vehicle.

According to federal data, over 400,000 crashes in the U.S. involved commercial vehicles in 2015. Over half of those crashes were caused by the driver’s error or negligence—making it harder for commercial truckers to get insured.

Commercial truck insurance is necessary for a variety of reasons. For one, it’s required by law. It also protects drivers and owners in a loss of cargo situation, liability in an accident, or even during overhaul repairs if a rental truck is temporarily needed to continue operations.

Let's protect your People and your operation.

We focus on helping balance your needs with cost-effective programs that provide unique coverage and superior protection.

A small business takes a lot of time, energy, and money to run successfully. As a business owner, you want to protect that investment and grow your revenue.

Commercial insurance, also called business insurance, can shield your business from costly risks like injuries, theft, property damage, and lawsuits.

Small business owners can purchase different types of commercial insurance coverage, which compensate them for financial losses arising from a variety of situations.

Generally, commercial insurance protects a business from standard risks, or liabilities, including:

📍 Client lawsuits
📍 Property theft and damage
📍 Customer or employee injury
📍 Unexpected events

It won't protect a business against everything, but business insurance can be a lifesaver in (potentially) expensive situations.

Any new transportation company must file a BOC-3 before they can start operating within the United States, whether they plan to operate as a motor carrier, broker, or freight forwarder.

BOC-3 filing cost varies from agent to agent, depending on what level of service you want them to provide you with. You may work with them only for your BOC-3 filing, or you may choose to purchase additional services from them to help make your life as a new business owner that much easier. With the complexity of FMCSA regulations, it’s a good idea to have the help of an expert – especially as you get your business started.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON’T UPDATE YOUR MCS-150?

The FMCSA takes this update seriously. Failure to file the update by the deadline could result in a deactivation of your DOT number, along with fines of up to $1,000 a day. You’ll need to know your DOT Number when determining when your update is due, as it is based on the last two digits of your DOT Number:

The second to last number in your DOT Number determines what year your biennial update needs to be filed. If it’s odd, you’re required to file your MCS-150 in every odd numbered calendar year. If it’s even, then you file in even numbered calendar years.

🔹🔹WHAT IS MCS 150?🔹🔹

The Motor Carrier Identification Report (MCS-150) contains a company’s information that the FMCSA uses and needs throughout the lifetime of the company.

It contains information such as company contact information, what type of carrier you are (intrastate or interstate), what type of goods hauled, mileage for a year, along with the number of drivers and power units.

MORNING DIGEST

Do you own or operate commercial vehicles for your business? We know how difficult the process can be to obtain all the requirements and ensure your commercial vehicle can legally operate on the road.

The BOC-3 (Designation of Agents for Service of Process) is one of the requirements to secure operating authority and maintain an active interstate operating status! All truckers for hire, brokers, or freight forwarders must have a BOC-3 form filed with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) before their Authority will be issued. And only a process agent has the authority to file a BOC-3 form.

Send us a message if you need a processing agent.
