From a lender’s perspective, some of the BIGGEST mistakes I see happen before you ever start looking at homes.

Putting off saving for your down payment because of spending habits, ignoring debt instead of working to pay it down, using third-party lenders without fully understanding your options, and simply going into the home-buying process without educating yourself first.

These things matter—and paying attention to them NOW can put you in a much better position when you’re ready to buy.
