First Responders Credit Union is a full-service financial institution serving firefighters, law enforcement, EMS professionals, and their families across Massachusetts. Our mission is to give our members the opportunity to enhance their financial
well being by offering simple, relevant products and services at a consistently
honest value. Once you join the credit union you are a member, not just

a customer and as
a member you have an equal share of ownership. Instead of paying stockholders, credit unions exist to serve their membership
and any earnings are returned to the members in the form of better rates,
low fees and more products and services. This is what distinguishes BFCU from other financial institutions. Our policies and strategies are determined by a Board of Directors who are elected from among the membership and serve without pay. Thus Boston Firefighters Credit Union is truly owned and operated by our members.
