¡Feliz Día del Trabajo! 🇺🇸
Cuando se inició el primer desfile del “Día del Trabajo” en septiembre de 1882, 10,000 trabajadores arriesgaron sus trabajos para marchar por la ciudad de Nueva York, exigiendo “Menos trabajo y mejor sueldo”.
Esos esfuerzos finalmente garantizaron muchos de los estándares que ahora damos por sentados, incluida la jornada laboral de 8 horas, un salario mínimo federal y la abolición del trabajo infantil forzoso.

When the first Labor Day parade stepped off on a September day in 1882, 10,000 workers risked their jobs to march through New York City, demanding “Less Work and More Pay”
Those efforts eventually secured many of the standards we now take for granted, including the 8-hour workday, a federal minimum wage, and the abolition of forced child labor.
