LET THEM

I have learned that the opinions of others crush our potential, because we allow them to. It’s not them limiting us, but ourselves because we think we are what they think we are.

So now, I let them. I let them talk, I let them have an opinion. Because it lets ME make the decision how that will affect me and I choose to make it fuel to guide me into my potential and do the things I enjoy.

This photo is me letting them.
Let them say you are “too short” to be a hitter, you are “too tall” to play college level as a libero. Let them laugh when you said you wanted to play middle.

Because that Lets ME at 30 years old play competitively, it Lets ME love this sport and be grateful that after surgery and hard physical work I am a Libero, an outside hitter, a middle blocker.

I had this wonderful realization yesterday when I saw this photo that in this specific area of my life I had allowed people to dictate how I enjoy the sport I love. With their limiting beliefs of me, until I said that was 12+ years ago that was still affecting me, why do those people still have power over me? And unconsciously 15 months ago when I started playing again I slowly released those beliefs.

Imagine if we just Let THEM and we let US explode at our fullest potential. To be our truest selves, without caring what they think or may not think of us.

I’m going on a journey to Let THEM and so far, like in the picture, I feel like I’m flying 💜

2 years down and a lifetime to go 💜

This year we did something would be considered unconventional to most. No fancy dinner, no fancy trip but we did the things we absolutely love doing together. Our love for universal theme parks, playing board games with friends, Halloween horror nights, metal core concerts and watch a football game at our favorite bar.

THAT is the perfect celebration.
