Today, some of our members participated in Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation 2026 Ag Day at Capitol to share their stories and advocate for agriculture. Thank you to Wisconsin State Representative Todd Novak for taking the time to meet with us today while Representative Tranel and Senator Marklein were in meetings.
We also had the opportunity to hear Marcus Landry share his story and how he became a farmer!

Morgan and Casey Lobdell, from Iowa County, represented District 3 on the state committee. Morgan has now joined the Iowa County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Thank you for your time and dedication!

Today, more than 270 delegates adopted policies that will be included in the organization’s 2026 policy book.

Thank you to our Iowa County delegates, Megan Yager, Laura Daniels, Krista Dolan, Ryan Dolan, and Don Ley, for their time and efforts! Justin Doyle, a board member, also serves on the state Policy Development committee.

The needs and safety of all the residents of Iowa County continues to grow and evolve, and with that, so do many of our local youth. The Iowa County Extension 4-H and Iowa County Farm Bureau have partnered together and hosted the third Iowa County Safety Day for all fifth-grade students at the public and private schools of Iowa County. Dan Brandt, Krista Dolan, Kyle & Karlee Thompson are the driving force in getting this event off the ground.
Today, we hosted around 280 students who rotated through eight sessions to learn about the safety and dangers of UTV/ATVs and boats, tick safety, animal safety, the importance of our Tech Rescue team, Fenix and Deputy Benisch put on a presentation of their job, students got to use a fire extinguisher and put out a fire, basic CPR and stop the bleed, and heard from Kyle Thompson a farm accident survivor! We also had a presentation from Alliant Energy on the dangers of down lines.

This event would not have been possible without our sponsors and volunteers! We thank you for your donations to put this event on and provide snacks and goodies for the students!
