With Covid came many changes to everyone’s lives. We’ve adjusted to using Video calls, FaceTime, and other forms of communication. Through Covid we’ve learned how to best support our Commercial and Employee Benefit Clients, first with assisting many in getting the PPP funds (Paycheck Protection Plan) that may have saved their businesses. This was a top priority of ours as our clients are Family to us. We really focused on our Clients, our Family, and our Health. Melissa and I both have had Covid twice now, with the last round almost putting us in the Hospital. The after affects of Covid are still with us today.
We understand how important it is to be as careful as you can through this Pandemic. Like many, we’ve also had to make tough decisions for both our Business and Family. We were able to take advantage of the hot Real Estate Market and sell our Discovery Bay Home. As many of you may not be aware, Discovery Bay Insurance now does business in 14 States. We’ve recently expanded and are now doing Business in Idaho as well. We’ve purchased a Home in Idaho as well, and are now working from our Home Office here in Idaho.
Part of this transition required us to find someone to take over our Farmers Office in Discovery Bay, as our Children both decided to move to Idaho as well. This was not the plan, but we are blessed that our Children wanted to follow. This created a big challenge, but we have now been working with Andrew Gast for over a year getting him ready to manage the Discovery Bay Operations. Andrew is a great guy and working very hard to service all of the Farmers Insurance Clients. If you get a chance, stop by and introduce yourself. Christina is still working in the office, remotely of course and helping Andrew with all of the Farmers Insurance Policy holders.
Discovery Bay Insurance is now a true Independent Brokerage which allows us to market every quote and every renewal through many Insurance Carriers. This too has been a challenge to get set up, but we are up and running, ready to expand our operations again.
