JOB OPPORTUNITY: Southwest Counties,Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a support staff candidate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on working in a team environment with a strong desire to provide outstanding service to our clients. This position is an excellent foot in the door with an opportunity for growth and development in the financial service and insurance industry.
The position will start by training on our systems and learning the business. After a comprehensive training period and successful state licensing, the candidate will have the opportunity to increase responsibilities.
Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prioritize daily tasks with minimal direction are required. Additionally, excellent communication and client service skills are a must! This job is responsible for working with clients to assess their needs to ensure the right products and services are offered for their portfolio (no cold calling required).
Job Details:
- Compensation $15-$18/hour (depending on experience) – increased after securing license.
Retirement plan and Health insurance(provided after 90 days)
- Full Time, 40 hours per week or Part time 3 days a week.
- Must obtain State Licensing within 90 days of start.
- Day Shift
- Monday – Friday
- Work location is in person, Dillon, MT

We thought today was a good day to post this. Blessed are the ones before us, and the ones after us. 🙏

“And on the eighth day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, “I need a caretaker.”

So God made a farmer.

God said, “I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the field, milk cows again, eat supper, then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the township board.”

So God made a farmer.

“I need somebody with arms strong enough to wrestle a calf and yet gentle enough to cradle his own grandchild. Somebody to call hogs, tame cantankerous machinery, come home hungry, have to wait for lunch until his wife’s done feeding visiting ladies, then tell the ladies to be sure to come back real soon and mean it.”

So God made a farmer.

God said, “I need somebody willing to sit up all night with a newborn c**t and watch it die, then dry his eyes and say, ‘Maybe next year,’ I need somebody who can shape an ax handle from an ash tree, shoe a horse, who can fix a harness with hay wire, feed sacks and shoe scraps. Who, during planting time and harvest season will finish his 40-hour week by Tuesday noon and then, paining from tractor back, up in another 72 hours.”

So God made a farmer.

God had to have somebody willing to ride the ruts at double speed to get the hay in ahead of the rain clouds and yet stop in mid-field and race to help when he sees the first smoke from a neighbor’s place.

So God made a farmer.

God said, “I need somebody strong enough to clear trees and heave bales, yet gentle enough to help a newborn calf begin to suckle and tend the pink-comb pullets, who will stop his mower in an instant to avoid the nest of meadowlarks.”

It had to be somebody who’d plow deep and straight and not cut corners. Somebody to seed, w**d, feed, breed, brake, disk, plow, plant, strain the milk, replenish the self-feeder and finish a hard week’s work with an eight mile drive to church. Somebody who’d bale a family together with the soft, strong bonds of sharing, who would laugh, and then sigh and then reply with smiling eyes when his family says that they are proud of what Dad does.

For Grassroots Week of May Membership Month, we'll be highlighting the counties that won the 2022 MFBF Golden Windmill Awards and recognizing all the critical work our county Farm Bureaus do for Montana's farmers and ranchers!

Kicking off the Grassroots Week is SW Counties Farm Bureau!
◾ Work closely with the UM-Western CYF&R on events
◾Hosted the Winter Warm Up event with Dr. Katie Rein calving simulator and legislative updates
◾Very active on area ag issues like grizzly and wolf predation and water issues. Regularly have members testify in Helena, submit articles to the local paper and for MFBF publications, speak on the radio and conduct tv interviews.
◾Have several board members that have graduated from/are participating in the ACE program
◾Active in the area schools reading ag accurate books
