🎶West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home…🎶

Today was both a wild and wonderful day in the hills of Bridgeport, WV as the Angus community showed up in force for the 1st annual JB Farms female sale. The weather was nice, but the demand was red hot for an amazing set of females from the heart of the JB program.

Top seller was lot 1B, JB Rita 560. The PEAK Draft Pick daughter out of a GAR Grid Maker L1071 cow settled at $300,000 when the bidding was finished. She ranks in the top 5% of the Angus breed for 15 traits, including top 1% for $C, $AxH, $AxJ, $B, $F, $G, $W, CWT, and MARB! 🤯🤯🤯

Overall, the sale sold 28 lots, grossing $1,845,500!

Huge congrats to Jimbo, Bryan, and the entire Fisher family on the success of their sale.

To anyone that hasn’t gone, the Spruce Mountain Ranch sale is one of the most amazing event’s I’ve ever been to. I honestly couldn’t tell you what was better, the cattle or the hospitality.

When the final gavel fell, 97 lots grossed- $4,254,500 to average a mind blowing $43,700
Top seller was lot 2B- Spruce Mtn Lady6025 $230,000 sired by GAR Wallace.

Huge thank you and congrats to Tom Ames and Chuck Brost and the rest of the crew on a truly amazing weekend.

Hey everyone, it's Ben! From Jim's retirement post, the one resounding theme of the comments (other than well wishes and everyone saying what a pleasure he was to work with) was about his sale reports. I'm sure they won't be as eloquent, but I'll do my best to carry them on.

The South Carolina weather wasn't the only thing hot as we kicked off the fall sale season at Edisto Pines. The Edwards family and crew brought an outstanding group of Angus females to the auction block, and top programs from around the country were on hand to try to bring their selections home. The top seller was lot 6, EPF Lady (Riverbend Black Label x Spruce Mtn Lady 2600). She carried one of the most complete phenotype and genomic profiles in the sale. When the gavel fell, it took $150,000 to take her home. Three other outstanding females also topped six figures.

The 87 lots grossed over $2.4 million to average $29,701! Congrats to everyone on a stellar sale to get the fall started off right!
