Penn East did another round of volunteer work at the CEO Weinberg Food Bank last week!

A group of volunteers spent their time filling boxes with food products, which are to be given out to senior citizens in local communities. In total, the group filled 686 boxes for CEO!

Not only did we volunteer, but Penn East hosted an internal PB&J drive and donated all the items to CEO Food Bank! From this employee-driven food drive, we donated 116 jars. Together, we continue to drive our CU philosophy, "People helping People."

In ten months, both Madison and Amanda collaborated with local professionals to drive local community projects, support local non-profits and businesses, and reconnect with our region's communities.

Did you know that for every two seconds, there is someone in the U.S. who needs blood?

We've partnered with the American Red Cross for our second blood drive. We had several first-time donors stop by to help make a difference and we even collected six Power Red donations!

By providing a steady blood supply, we are supporting the Red Cross's mission to save more lives. With these donations, the Red Cross can support patients who are experiencing chronic diseases, sickle cell treatments, and are in need of life-saving care. Thank you to all of our donors!

With our contribution, we are supporting a local, cost-free, sport camp for families and children with intellectual or physical disabilities. All the support helps offset operational costs that include specialized sports equipment, insurance costs, staffing, facility fees and more.

Every child deserves the chance to play, smile, and be loved. We are proud to support such a joyful mission!

Give back to our community by donating blood! Our drive takes place on June 10th, 1:30PM to 6:00PM. There is still time to register for an appointment, and receive a $15 e-gift card from the American Red Cross. In May, Penn East sponsored a field trip for the transitional life skills class at ECA - Monticello in order for the class to learn how to budget! The class learned fundamental financial skills while enjoying a lunch, rides, and seeing the animals at the Lakeland Orchard.
