This video was originally shared about 15 years ago, but the message behind it is just as meaningful today.
I share the story of my dad, our last hunt together, and the lessons he left behind. My dad was a smart, thoughtful man who understood the importance of planning ahead. He purchased his first life insurance policy at just 15 years old because he understood what could happen when a family loses someone they depend on.
As he got older, he purchased additional life insurance while he was still able to. By the time he was 60, however, he was no longer insurable and couldn't purchase any additional coverage. He ultimately lived another 20 years, but he always wished he had been able to purchase more life insurance while he could.
What he did have, though, made a lasting difference. It helped pay the debt on the farm and gave my family something even more valuable during a difficult time: peace of mind.
That's the power of life insurance. It isn't just about a policy or a number on a piece of paper. It's about protecting the people you love, preparing for the unexpected, and leaving your family with fewer burdens when they need support the most.
And because this story is about my own dad, it carries a meaning that goes far beyond business. ❤️
15 years later, this is still a story worth sharing — and a reminder of why planning for tomorrow matters today.
