Phone Spoofing Scam Alert ⚠️

Scammers are posing as “security reps” from local credit unions and banks. The caller references a specific charge and asks for full card number information - including the expiration date and CVV. In some instances, they have even asked the person to download an app.

If you get a call like this:

1. Remember, legit institutions never ask for these details by phone.

2. Scammers are persistent and often create urgency to make you act quickly.

3. Hang up. Call the number on your card or on the institution’s website.

4. Don’t trust caller ID—numbers can be spoofed.

5. If you shared info or aren’t sure, contact your financial institution or your card services provider immediately.
