🚗💸 DRIVERS — THIS TAX TIP CAN SAVE YOU TH️THOUSANDS! 💸🚗

Most drivers don’t realize this ⬇️
👉 The IRS taxes your PROFIT — not just what hits your bank account.

That’s where mileage comes in.
📉 Mileage lowers your taxable profit — but only if it’s tracked and documented correctly.

That’s why I recommend MileIQ 📱
It’s the app I help my drivers use to track actual business miles the RIGHT way.

⛽ Gas
🔧 Oil changes
🛠 Repairs

They feel important…
but mileage deductions usually beat all of that combined 💥

💡 Tips like this help my drivers
✔️ Lower their tax liability
✔️ Maximize their refund
✔️ Keep more of what they earn

If you drive for work — this is a MUST-know.

🚨 THIS IS THE LETTER NOBODY WANTS 🚨

The IRS doesn’t send this for fun.

This notice means the IRS believes your return may be inaccurate, especially around:

EITC
Child Tax Credit / Additional CTC / Other Dependent Credit
American Opportunity Credit
Head of Household filing status

Here’s the part people ignore 👇🏾
Even if you paid a tax preparer, YOU are still responsible for what’s on your return.

If the IRS decides you recklessly claimed credits 👉🏾2-year ban 🚫
If they decide it was fraud 👉🏾10-year ban 🚫🚫

That means no EITC, no CTC, no HOH benefits for YEARS.

This is why I preach this every tax season 👇🏾
Stop rushing, Stop guessing, Stop letting people “just try it”. Credits are not free money 💸 They come with rules, documentation, and consequences.

File it right the first time 🧠 Or be prepared to fix it later ✍🏽

Education > Audits.

🚨 IMPORTANT TAX REMINDER FOR PARENTS 🚨

Yes, your child can file their own tax return but parents still need to understand the dependency rules 🧾⚠️

When a dependent files a tax return, there is a required box that must be checked stating
“Someone else can claim me as a dependent.”

If that box is not checked and the child files first, it can prevent the parent from properly filing and claiming them later.

📌 Here’s the bottom line for 2026 👇🏽

You may still claim your child as a dependent if they meet IRS rules:

✔️ Under age 19, or
✔️ Under age 24 and a full-time student, and
✔️ Does not provide more than 50% of their own support, and
✔️ Lives with you more than 6 months out of the year

👉🏾Age alone does not disqualify a child.

♿ Important exception
If your child is permanently and totally disabled, there is no age limit. They may still qualify as your dependent as long as the support and residency rules are met.

Too many parents stop claiming their children just because they turned 18 or started filing on their own and that can mean leaving credits and deductions on the table 💸

Your child can file their own return AND you can still claim them if they qualify under IRS dependency rules.

📎 Knowing the rules matters
📎 Filing correctly matters
📎 Protecting your credits matters

Make sure you’re keeping your coins… not giving them away 💰🧾

🗣 PARENTS — let’s clear this up REAL QUICK.
Stop letting social media rumors confuse y’all about child support and who can claim a child.

FACTS, not opinions:
There is a real IRS rule tied to the Child Tax Credit (CTC/ACTC) that a lot of people don’t know or talk about.

👉🏽 If a biological parent (or legally divorced parent) provides more than half of the financial support for a child under 17, they may qualify to claim the Child Tax Credit — even if the child did NOT live with them.

⚠️ Here’s the important part:
• The custodial parent (the one the child lives with) must agree not to claim the child for that tax year
• This agreement is done using an IRS form, which must be signed and attached to the return
• The non-custodial (absent) parent can ONLY use the child for CTC/ACTC
• They CANNOT use the child for EIC, Head of Household, or Childcare credits

📌 Absent means the parent does not live in the home where the child resides.

✔️ Yes, this can be done in the same tax year, allowing both parents to receive credits
✔️ This same form can also be used later to revoke permission if the custodial parent chooses not to allow it in future years

And let me be very clear —
❌ This is NOT a new rule
❌ The President didn’t create it
✅ The IRS did, and it’s been around

Now you know. Spread truth, not tax myths 💯

🚨 QUICK TAX SEASON REMINDER 🚨

Just because you received a tax advance does NOT mean your return has been accepted by the IRS. 💳❌

Here’s what you need to know 👇🏽

🗂️ An advance is approved by the bank, not the IRS
📌 “Where’s My Refund?” will NOT show updates until the IRS officially opens
⏳ No movement does not mean there’s a problem it means the IRS hasn’t started processing yet

⚠️ If your return includes credits under the PATH Act (EITC or ACTC), refunds are legally held until mid-February no exceptions.

Patience is part of the process. 🔁

Refreshing the IRS website every hour won’t speed it up, and neither will messaging your preparer daily. 😉

As soon as the IRS accepts your return and releases updates, you’ll see it. Until then trust the process and the timeline. 💼✨

Questions are welcome, but let’s keep expectations realistic.

📢 Tax Year 2025 EITC Update: Self-Employed, This Is for YOU!

Are you self-employed, a freelancer, contractor, gig worker, or small business owner?

Good news, you may still qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) What self-employed taxpayers should know:

•Self-employment income counts as earned income
•You must file a tax return (even if you owe self-employment tax)
•Investment income must be $11,950 or less
•Your credit depends on income, filing status, and number of children

Important: Even if you owe taxes, this credit can lower what you owe or increase your refund.

Many self-employed taxpayers miss out on this credit, don’t be one of them! Message me or schedule a tax review to see if you qualify.

🚨 IMPORTANT IP PIN UPDATE 🚨

The IRS has started releasing IP PINs by mail 📬

AND the IRS IP PIN website will be live tomorrow — 01/06/2026.

If you were waiting to file and were stuck because of an IP PIN, help is coming.

Remember:
• If you were issued an IP PIN (for any reason), your return cannot be filed without it
• Missing IP PIN = delays or rejection
• This is a security lock on your tax return

Once the site goes live tomorrow, you’ll be able to retrieve your IP PIN online and we can file immediately 🩷

Stay ready. Stay protected.

🚨 TAX TIP — PROTECT YOURSELF! 🚨

It is AGAINST IRS e-file rules for a tax preparer to file your return using a pay stub instead of your W-2.

Your W-2 is the ONLY official wage document the IRS allows for e-filing because it includes your FINAL wages, withholding, employer EIN, benefits & retirement details. A pay stub doesn’t and numbers change all year.

Filing from a pay stub can lead to:
❌ IRS refund delays
❌ Letters & audits
❌ Amended returns
❌ Paying money back
❌ Penalties for the preparer

If your W-2 isn’t available after January 31st, the legal option is Form 4852 (Substitute W-2) but ONLY after trying to obtain the real W-2.

A real professional will NEVER risk your refund or their license to file from a paycheck stub.

Choose accuracy.
