This morning, I had the opportunity to meet with Florida Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins to discuss hurricane relief and recovery efforts throughout Freeport, Walton County, and our surrounding communities.

Our conversation focused on the positive actions taken to support our residents and local businesses, the successes achieved through community cooperation, and opportunities to strengthen preparedness, coordination, and response efforts for future disasters.

Strong leadership, open communication, and collaboration between state and local communities are essential to protecting our residents, supporting our businesses, and building a stronger, more resilient Freeport and Walton County.
