Dave Morrow: Allstate Insurance I am a member of the Destin, Niceville and South Walton Chambers of Commerce, the Destin Rotary Club, the Destin Methodist Church. Retired US Air Force.

When you need help choosing the right insurance products and services to help protect the people and possessions you care about, you need personalized attention from someone who treats you like family. As a native Floridian, I opened my agency in 2006 so customers in the Destin area can get outstanding service while helping protect the things that are important to them.Prior to starting my agency in October 2006, I began a career in the financial industry in 1999. I graduated from the Naval Explosive Ordinance Disposal School in 1976 and am a retired US Air Force member. As a trusted Allstate agent, I believe in giving back to my community. My agency also supports The Taylor Haugen Foundation which recognizes youth leaders and promotes abdominal sports safety, and Aletha's Legacy which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that gives hope to the children of Liberia. Outside of the office, my passions are fishing, camping and my grandchildren. Native Floridian. Graduated from the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal School in 1976.I invite you to stop by my agency any time. We can assist you with condo, renters, home, auto or business insurance and more. We look forward to meeting you.

🏡🚨 BEFORE YOU HIRE A PUBLIC ADJUSTER, CALL YOUR INSURANCE AGENT!

💰 Did you know? In Florida, public adjusters can charge up to 10%–20% of your insurance claim payment, depending on the circumstances.

On a $50,000 insurance payment, that's potentially $5,000–$10,000 in fees ON TOP of your deductible! 😳

At the Ryland Morrow Allstate Agency, we're here to help you navigate the claims process, understand your coverages, communicate with your insurance company, and work through challenges.

✅ Real, local people who answer the phone

✅ Guidance throughout the claims process

✅ No additional fees for our assistance!

Public adjusters can be valuable in certain situations, but before signing away a percentage of your claim, find out what help is already available to you!

❤️ Your deductible is expensive enough. Don't spend thousands more if you don't have to!

We cannot stress this enough: contractors only need to provide you with a written proposal that outlines the scope of work and the cost of repairs.

Keep in mind that once repairs begin, additional damage may be discovered that was not visible during the initial inspection. If that happens, the contractor can work with the insurance company's estimate to address those items through the supplemental claim process. The insurance carrier's estimate will explain how supplemental claims are handled.

Homeowners should be very cautious about giving contractors authority to negotiate directly with their insurance carrier. If the carrier needs information from the contractor, they will contact the contractor directly to discuss the repairs and come to an agreement.

We are already seeing contracts being presented to homeowners that do not include a repair amount or total project cost. Please do not sign these agreements. Always ask for a detailed proposal with pricing. If a contractor refuses to provide one, that may not be the right contractor for your project.

If you have questions, please call me. I am here to help make sure you do not find yourself facing unexpected costs or, even worse, a lien on your home because a contractor was not paid the amount they expected. Insurance carriers will pay reasonable and necessary repair costs supported by the claim.

In most cases, you do not need to hire an attorney or a public adjuster at the beginning of the claim process. If you have a knowledgeable insurance agent, they can help guide you through the claim, answer your questions, and advocate for you along the way.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need help reviewing a proposal, understanding your estimate, or navigating the claims process. We are here to help.

This is what community looks like. We're proud of the Allstaters in Dallas-Fort Worth for showing up in a major way for Genesis Women's Shelter & Support. They packed hundreds of toiletry bags and hosted a food drive to help support women in need on their healing journey.
