This is one of those stories that's almost impossible to believe...
Until it's yours.

Imagine hearing woodpeckers outside your house for years... and thinking nothing of it.

One California homeowner finally opened a wall to investigate and discovered nearly 700 pounds of acorns hidden inside. An acorn woodpecker had been drilling into the exterior, and over time, the acorns fell into the wall cavity instead of staying where the bird intended.
