Meet Blaine, our Team Member of the Month! 👋

Good Neighbors is more than our name — it’s who we are 💛 Wherever you are in life, you deserve access to the tools, resources, and support to make the most of your finances; and our fantastic team members are the ones stepping up to the plate to make that happen.

We asked our Team Member of the Month, Blaine, to share a little about himself. Here’s what he said! ⤵️

❓ What do you believe makes Good Neighbors Credit Union special?

➡️ “The care we put into each interaction with our members. No matter what their background or situation is, we try our very best to meet them where they are at and provide as much help as we can.”

❓ What’s your favorite part of your day at work?

➡️ “All the opportunities I get to volunteer! Whether it’s seeing members at our own events or helping out with other organizations’ events, being able to see the impact we can make on the local community will always be some of my favorite parts of working here.”

❓ What GNCU value resonates with you the most?

➡️ “Self-help. Seeking out opportunities to learn provides you with new perspectives you might not have otherwise known about. This in turn allows us to build stronger communities where everyone can not only feel seen and heard, but, most importantly, safe. It really opens the door for the rest of our values, and Self-Help really resonates with me because of that.”

❓ Tell us a random fun fact!

➡️ “I love to read and am always open to both giving and receiving book recommendations!!”

Thank you, Blaine, for all you do as a valued team member and for sharing a bit about yourself! Have any book recommendations for Blaine? Share them below 📚⤵️

The co-operative principle of Concern for Community is simple: we show up.

Whether we’re supporting local events, partnering with community organizations, volunteering our time, or investing in initiatives that make our neighborhoods stronger, we’re committed to making a difference beyond banking.

Because being a good neighbor means more than serving a community - it means being part of it 💛

We want to extend a huge thank you to the incredible businesses who generously donated raffle prizes for our Annual Meeting!

Your charitable donations directly impact local youth here in WNY, as all proceeds from the Annual Meeting raffle benefit the Good Neighbors Walter J. Kostecky Scholarship.

We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up for one another, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting the businesses that helped make this year’s scholarship fundraiser possible 💛⤵

The co-operative principle of Cooperation Among Cooperatives is all about the power of coming together 🤝✨

When co-ops support co-ops, amazing things happen: bigger impact, stronger communities, and more opportunities for the people we serve

By sharing knowledge, resources, and ideas with other co-operative organizations, we’re able to do even more for our members and neighbors — that’s the magic of cooperation in action 💛

PS: Mark your calendars 🗓️ Co-Op Fest 2026 is happening Saturday June 27 from 3-6 PM with all your favorite co-ops! Check out the last photo for more details and we’ll see you there ➡️
