We’re bringing together Dr. Nicole Ferguson, PhD, LMFT and Tabitha Vaughan, LCSW to share practical tools for managing financial stress, building healthier coping skills, and feeling more confident talking about money and asking for support.

This August we’re proud to celebrate Tim as our Team Member of the Month! 🎉

Great financial service starts with great people, and Tim’s dedication to helping members, supporting teammates, and making a difference each day is what being a Good Neighbor is all about 💛

We asked Tim to share a little about himself - here’s what he had to say! ⤵️

❓ What do you believe makes Good Neighbors Credit Union special?

➡️ “What makes GNCU so special is the people. Each of us brings our own unique life experiences and understanding to the office, and this, coupled with our credit union’s distinct driving values, is what allows us to connect with our members in such an exceptional way.”

❓ What’s your favorite part of your day at work?

➡️ “My favorite part of the workday is nurturing the relationships I’ve built with our members. As a loan officer I get to walk alongside people as they take steps to improve their financial lives – whether that’s working through a difficult time or finally getting a handle on their credit and finances. Even if we only played a small part, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing members grow and come out stronger on the other side.”

❓ What GNCU value resonates with you the most?

➡️ “Social Responsibility is the value that resonates most with me. The world of banking and finance can feel intimidating and out of reach for many people, forcing them to learn through trial and error. Our financial counseling and literacy workshops are true lifelines for those members, and I’m proud that we’re able to offer that support.”

❓ Tell us a random fun fact!

➡️ “Prior to starting with GNCU, I lived in Washington state for a few years. While there, I picked up photography as a hobby. Although I wouldn’t claim to be a skilled photographer, I really enjoy taking pictures of nature and the night sky.”

Meet Daniella and Nicholas, our 2026 summer interns! ☀️ These bright young students have been part of the Good Neighbors team the past few weeks, learning, growing, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the world of cooperative banking. Keep reading to learn more about them!👇

First up is Daniella! Daniella is always on the go and loves staying involved. She’s a member of the National Honor Society, Academy of Finance, and Link Crew, and she enjoys finding ways to make a difference in her school and community. Daniella says she’s excited to meet new people, learn more about marketing, and use her creative skills at her Good Neighbors internship!

Next up is Nicholas! Nick is a 15-year-old sophomore student at Global Concepts Charter School. He is a basketball player for many organizations and has even won a basketball championship with one of those teams! He enjoys playing the guitar and piano in his free time, and he also likes to play video games when he can. For his Good Neighbors internship, Nick says he is most interested in gaining an understanding of how all the numbers work and lending processes.

Both Daniella and Nick will be making appearances and creating content for our social pages over the next 2 weeks - stay tuned! 👀
