How would you cover a $1,000 bill for urgent costs? Use a credit card? Get a family loan? Far better to have an emergency fund. Here's how to set it up quickly.

Everything comes down to people, communication, and clarity.

What I’ve learned across fast-paced, high-pressure environments:

• Strong relationships drive better outcomes than transactions

• Clear communication reduces uncertainty and stress

• People-first systems create stronger long-term results

That perspective has shaped the next chapter of my work.

Today, I focus on helping individuals and businesses bring clarity and confidence to important financial and employee-focused decisions through a relationship-driven, people-first approach.

Because growth doesn’t just come from strategy — it comes from trust, understanding, and how well people are supported through complexity.

People-First Strategy. Relationship-Driven Growth.

Mother’s Day was a good reminder of why I do what I do.

Becoming a mom changed the way I think about almost everything — especially work, time, and what “success” really means.

It pushed me to think bigger about legacy. Not just financially, but in the example I’m setting every day:

Showing my boys what it looks like to build something with purpose.
Showing them that family and ambition can coexist.
Showing them that creating a life you’re proud of often means having the courage to pivot when something no longer aligns.

A big part of why I stepped into financial services was because motherhood shifted my perspective. It made me realize how important it is for families — especially moms — to feel confident, educated, and empowered when it comes to their financial future.

So today, I’m feeling especially grateful for the role that motherhood has played in shaping not just who I am personally, but the work I get to do professionally.

To all the moms building, leading, pivoting, showing up, and doing their best every day: you’re doing important work (even on the days it doesn’t feel like it).

Happy Mother’s Day 🩵

“It now costs over $300,000 to raise a child in the U.S.”

Let’s emphasize something most people skip over:

That’s for ONE kid.

A recent report puts the average at $303,418 per child by age 18—and that still doesn’t include college.
Source: NY Post, April 2026

Now let’s make it real:

• 2 kids → ~$600,000
• 3 kids → ~$900,000

And that’s just the baseline—before inflation, lifestyle, or where you live are even factored in.

This is where the conversation needs to shift.

Because most families aren’t just raising kids—
they’re building a life, creating stability, and trying to move forward at the same time.

And numbers like this don’t just affect monthly budgets—
they shape long-term direction.

This is why so many people feel stuck in the middle—working hard, doing everything right… but not actually getting ahead.

Because when the cost of raising a family is this high, you can’t rely on income alone.

You need your money to do more than just keep up.

Otherwise:
• The years go by
• The expenses stack up
• And anything beyond “just getting by” gets pushed to later

But later comes faster than most people expect.

This isn’t about fear.

It’s about awareness.

Because $300K isn’t just a stat—
it’s a multiplier.

And the families who move differently?
They see that early.

Most people are underutilizing their employer benefits.

Not because they don’t care—
but because they don’t fully understand them.

I see it all the time:

• Opting into coverage without knowing why
• Missing opportunities to build long-term value
• Overlooking benefits that could make a real difference

Meanwhile—those benefits are part of your paycheck.

If you’re not using them intentionally,
you’re not getting the full value of what you earn.

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about education in the workplace.

Not more information—
better understanding.

Do you feel confident in your benefits, or is it something you’ve been meaning to revisit?

And today we were at Oceanside High School with RSU 13…

Go Mariners! ⚓️

Being back where I went to school, just in a very different role, is pretty surreal—so many new faces, but so many familiar ones too.

I spent the day with Sarah Verretta connecting with staff around employee benefits and open enrollment— answering questions, talking through options, and helping people feel more confident in their decisions.

It’s been a full (and really great) week 🩵
