Our Story

For 55 years, Citywide Banks has been committed to finding ways we can impact our Colorado communities. For us, it’s about supporting powerful local causes like mental health wellness, economic development, and others that move our community forward. It’s also about creating a dynamic banking experience that is continually evolving to meet the changing needs of our customers. Our Colorado story began in Aurora in 1963, when an old tire shop on Colfax Avenue was converted to become our first branch. For more than five decades, our bank was family-owned and became known for our personalized service and passionate philanthropic commitments. In 2017, Citywide Banks took our service commitment to new heights by merging with Centennial Bank and Trust and Heartland Financial USA, Inc. The expansion meant that the “Citywide Banks” name and its unique style of service was now available at 25 banking centers across the Front Range and mountains. For more information, please visit www.CitywideBanks.com. Citywide Banks is Member FDIC and an Equal Housing Lender.
