IR-2022-188, October 21, 2022 — The IRS announced today that the amount individuals can contribute to their 401(k) plans in 2023 has increased to $22,500, up from $20,500 for 2022. The IRS today also issued technical guidance regarding all of the cost of living adjustments

Social Security just announced the greatest COLA adjustment in over 40 years. Accordingly the wage base increased. In 2023 the wage base will be $160,200. This presents some planning opportunities for small businesses, and for some a larger tax bill. Give me a call if you are a self-employed or a small business owner and want to know how this affects you.

Millions of older Americans whose budgets have been squeezed by inflation will get a raise of sorts next year when Social Security benefits are raised 8.7%.

If you plan to purchase an EV you better triple check that it still qualifies for the federal tax credit. As yesterday many vehicles no longer qualify. .

Patrick Grady is an independent CPA located in Westminster, CO. He specializes in tax preparation for small businesses and individuals.

During tax season you will be working on mostly individual, partnership, and S Corp tax returns. Outside of tax season there are payroll and bookkeeping jobs, in addition to tax returns.

This candidate will gain valuable, hands on experience and have the opportunity to interact directly with clients in a small firm environment.

The office uses the latest technologies, making remote client appointments and data upload easy. A working knowledge of computer, data management, and Microsoft Excel is expected, and training for the specific software will be provided. During the training period and most of tax season you will be required to work in the office, but after some time a remote option is a possibility.

This person must have some experience preparing tax returns or a great knowledge of accounting practices. A flexible work schedule is an option for the right candidate. This is not strictly a full time position.
