Our members voted...and Hope Haven was the winner! At our annual meeting last month, our members picked from four local charities to receive a donation of $250.00 from Northern Illinois Federal Credit Union. Our credit union is a strong believer in community and partners with our community organizations.

Attention members: How has the credit union helped you? Let us know and we will make an impact at local charities. It is easy:

1. Tell us in a few words how the credit union has helped you.

2. Tell us which one of the following is your favorite local charity/nonprofit: Hope Haven of Dekalb County, Inc., CASA DeKalb County, Inc., Safe Passage, Inc., or Tails Humane Society.

3. It is easy to participate: send an email to [email protected] with the above information, call us at 815-669-1599, or stop by the office.

We will tabulate the top two charities selected and each winning charty will receive a $250.00 donation from the credit union. The winning charities will be annouced at our annual meeting on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Even better-you can win too! Attend our annual meeting on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the DeKalb Public Library Yusanas Meeting Room and your entry will be in a drawing for a credit union VISA gift cards (must be present to win, one winner per member). We also have some exciting news to share at the annual meeting, so you don't want to miss this!

ANNOUNCEMENT📣: Starting today after 4:30 pm, we will have balloon sheets available for you to express how being part of the Credit Union has helped or empowered you, our members! On the back of the sheets, there will be a space for members to choose 1 out 4 places for us to donate. Choose from Safe Passage, Tails Humane Society, Hope Haven and C.A.S.A. Fill one out here at the Credit Union or call us to have one filled out for you over the phone. We will have a raffle during our meeting and anyone in attendance via in person or online will be entered to win one of our gift cards! Our annual meeting will take place on April 16th at 4pm at the DeKalb Public Library in the Yusunas Meeting Room.
