Gotta give a big shout out to Cindy….

Close to closing time, we had a lady in distress (not even a customer of ours) pull up to the office with a crushed front end dripping anti freeze from an accident that occurred just down the street.

Nobody was hurt (thankfully) but within 30 minutes; Cindy had her claim filed, a tow truck (thanks Tom), all her belongings packed in a box, and a ride home.

Just an example of how much we live by that “Good Neighbor” mentality for every neighbor we can help.

Beginning Aug. 6, State Farm customers can visit Customer Care Sites for in-person assistance:

Our community, customers, and first reponders are in our prayers during these fires.

There has been a plethora of people wanting to help in any way they can.

As the City of Deer Park opens our parks and restrooms to our neighbors in need, basic unused toiletry items can really help for those displaced unexpectedly. If you are able, please drop off any unused items to our office and we will distribute them to where they need to go. If the office is closed, just leave them by the door as it will be checked frequently.

Please keep it to toiletry items only as other organizations are better equipped for clothing and food donations.
