Happy Wednesday!! 😀 IT'S NATIONAL CAMPING MONTH!!🏕️

Oh, the weather outside has been frightful, but now it's so delightful and (ah you know you were singing it...LOL) what better time to go Camping than the beginning of summer! 🧐School is out and everyone could use a break!☺️

Each year in June we pack up our gear and set off for the great outdoors to experience nature up close and personal. Whether you like roughing it or prefer to 'glamp',with a few more ammenities, then this is your month to find the perfect place for a family adventure! 🏔️

7 GREAT CAMPING TIPS:
🫗Always bring an ample amount of fresh water!
🩺Check your First-Aid Kit and ensure it is stocked.
🔦Bring lighters, water proof matches and a couple of quality flashlights.
🍫Take a good supply of non-perishable granola bars, jerky, peanut butter, chocolate bars, and dried fruits, especially if you are not taking a cooler.
🥕If you are bringing a cooler: pack fruits, vegetables, and meats to keep them cool.
🌞Bring sweat/water proof sunscreen, even for cloudy days.
👢Grab rain gear, jackets and warm blankets for cooler weather. (you never know in AL!)😆
🦟Lastly, because we are in Alabama, be sure to bring mosquito spray.....they just love sweaty campers!

There are some great places to camp all across North Alabama, from Guntersville National Park to one specifically for motorcycles: Dug HIll Moto and Outdoor Shenanigans. Prices for overnight stays range from $0 to $149....which, of course, was Glamping....either way fun is right around the corner!!

GREAT WAYS TO CELEBRATE.....take your family for an adventure....put away your phones and connect! So, don't forget everything you need for smores and grab a couple of board games.....you never know when a shower will pop up!!

I truly believe that we need to regroup as a country.....and remember one of the Golden Rules: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!" 🧐

Yeah, I get it....it sounds kind of hokey....right, but....honestly have you looked around lately?? Not only the foulness of the language, but people fly off the handle over nothing anymore. 🤯

My business is working in digital marketing....promoting my clients and helping them build their organic presence. And frankly, people have stopped treating each other with any consideration at all.....and then they wonder why their children act out and don't respect them?

I am without a doubt an optimist....so let's use another Golden Oldie.....there is "No time like the present!!" Which means, today is the best day to get started on turning over a new leaf!

Words are more powerful than you can imagine.....they can inspire....they can lift up and they can humiliate and destroy. But, what it....what if we simply used our words....to build everyone up....to share a nice sentiment, give a compliment?

Few lessons in life are more important than to treat each other with respect and kindness. We all know someone who is generally nice, always has a good word to share. They actually listen when you are having a conversation and often put others first. When they pay it forward with a compliment, there is sincerity in the words they speak. Today is not only about saying something nice, it's also a day to do nice things for others.

It's finally Friday and what a strange weather pattern we have been experiencing! Yes, I am always happy for the rain bringing May flowers....and my all of my veggies are looking great....however, I also get a little tired of the constant wet, mud and musty smell it creates. Sadly, most of that 'musty' smell, is our dogs....LOL!!

This great punny from Vince The Sign Guy just might the next step in Neuro Technology....thought controlled scents....does it actually make sense??🤯😝 I can think of several other things that I would like to apply 'thought control' to......you know like:
FOR WOMEN!
🏘️Vacumming the house
🛋️Dusting the furniture (where does all of that dust come from??)
🚽Cleaning the toilet and other fixtures in the bathroom
🧽Washing the dishes
🛏️Changing the sheets
👚Washing, Folding and putting away the laundry (I have no issue with the first two, but truly do not like putting away the laundry!)😆

FOR MEN!
🌱Mowing the lawn
✂️Trimming the hedges
🏖️Cleaning the pool
🚙Changing the oil in the truck/car (YES, some men prefer to do this themselves?)!
🍂Cleaning out the gutters
🌱Edging the sidewalk and driveway (there are no yard maintenance emojis availavble???)

On another note....please don't use the plug-in air fresheners.....while they have made upgrades in them for better safety, there are still issues including respiratory problems and they have been noted to be a fire hazard.

Solemn Monday!😇

We hope you will join us in taking a moment....a moment to remember those who sacrificed their lives to preserve our way of life. The few who made the decision to be part of something bigger than themselves to ensure that every person in this United States of America could enjoy the Freedoms we were granted from our Fore Fathers.

Today, we will take the time to say a prayer....to remember those who gave their all across every branch of our armed services.....in decades past....for without them, we would not have the freedoms we still enjoy unto this day!

It is with a humbled heart that we remember them one and all.....🙏

Friday is finally here, and while many of us have a long weekend ahead....there are those who will still run their regular routine on Monday? As you know, I love sharing the funny/pumny signs that Vince The Sign Guy creates and this one is no different!

Although, it sort of feels a bit like a 'Dad Joke"....cause ....well, I mean...you coudln't possibly call in.....if you were actually 'dead'....right!! However, it is interesting to understand the frequency of people calling out and their why!!

BASIC REASONS PEOPLE CALL OUT!
🤢Illness or their child is sick.
🐕A pet, furry family member emergency
⛈️Weather related....from tornado warnings, icy roads or rising water?
🏘️Home Emergencies may include your HVAC going out or perhaps your water heater burst!
😳Their Mental Health. Life can throw some difficulties at us we weren't expecting, from managing elderly parents to simply needing a break to prevent 'burn-out!"

BIZARRE REASONS PEOPLE CALL OUT!
🦌Wildlife encounters...hmm! One lady called in because a skunk 🦨got in her house and sprayed all the clothes in her closet!! Another had scorpions in her bed!!🤯 Or perhaps you hit a deer enroute to work??
👖Hygiene and Wardrobe Crisis.....a man called in because he had no clean pants...only a sock and one towel!
🖥️Exploding Appliances!🤯😳 A woman claimed that her pressure cooker had exploded and she had too much to clean to come in!
🤨Dont have the 'feels!" This is a phrase that is used by Gen Z.....in relation to their 'emotional well-being'! Umm....I truly didn't want to poke fun at an entire generation...but it is a good thing I am not your employeer!

There are many legitimate reasons that people may experience that require you calling out...however, if you are considering calling out due to death....it will go over better if your partner or spouse does this for you!😝
