This week's blog takes a look at the 2026 Medicare Trustees Report:

"CMS’ annual Medicare Trustees Report serves as one of the most important indicators of the program’s financial health. It offers a long-term view of how Medicare is funded, how quickly costs are rising, and what challenges lie ahead. The 2026 report delivers the mixed message that Medicare remains financially stable in the near term and continues to provide coverage for nearly 70 million Americans however, significant long-term pressures are building beneath the surface.

These pressures include the projected depletion of the Medicare Hospital Insurance Trust Fund, rapid spending on healthcare services and prescription drugs, increasing reliance on federal funding, and rising costs for beneficiaries and taxpayers.

In this article, we'll examine the report's most significant findings, explore what is driving Medicare's growing costs, and discuss why Trustees are urging Congress and the Administration to address these challenges sooner than later."

Are you ready for AEP? 😳 This week's blog will help! ⬇️

"For a lot of Medicare agents, AEP is the most stressful time of year. You're trying to service your entire book of business in less than 8 weeks, all while managing to keep some sort of work-life balance.

This year, AEP may feel even more stressful with another round of CMS compliance changes. As we head into CY2027, agents should stay current on TPMO requirements, marketing regulations, and updates to Scope of Appointment (SOA) rules. One of the biggest changes is the removal of the 48-hour SOA waiting period beginning October 1, 2026, although SOAs are still required before discussing plan-specific information.

No matter how many clients you have, here are some ideas to lighten your load, automate some tasks, and ensure you service all your clients during enrollment season."

Did you know there's reason to celebrate?? Check out this week's blog post and make sure you're not missing out on the Birthday Rule opportunity!

"For agents selling Med Supps, birthdays are an opportunity to help clients and write new business—a win-win! States with Birthday Rules create a window for carrier changes, usually improving premiums for clients.

A lot of times, clients assume that once they develop health conditions, changing their coverage is no longer an option. However, a policy review around a client's birthday can uncover opportunities for them to save money, while keeping the level of coverage they need.

As premium increases continue across the Med Supp markets, understanding Birthday Rule opportunities has become an important part of the service agents provide."
