Hello Friends,
As always during this time of year, Michigan weather does not know what to do. Are we in winter, spring, or are we caught in some strange weather limbo that we may never escape from? I am joking, of course… but only a little.
With most of the harsh weather behind us, now is a great time to take a look around your home and check for any weather-related damage. Inspect your roof safely, along with your sidewalks, siding, and do not forget the basement. If you have a sump pump, make sure it is up and running properly. A quick check now can help prevent a much bigger issue later.
February was a whirlwind for me. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful birthday trip to Charlevoix, and I also had the opportunity to learn new ways to better assist our Veterans and our communities.
On that note, if you know any young men or women who may be interested in a career in law enforcement, we sponsor 10th, 11th, and 12th graders to attend the Student Trooper program with the Michigan State Police from July 19 through July 24. The application deadline is May 1. I also have multiple scholarships available. If you are interested and would like more information, please email me at [email protected].
As we look ahead to March, I am ready to welcome longer days and springing forward an hour. The older I get, the more I appreciate the extra daylight. There is something uplifting about not heading to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. I am also looking forward to St. Patrick’s Day. I will be helping out at the Legion, serving corned beef meals and perhaps enjoying a Guinness or two.
While my Patriots did not win the Super Bowl, much to my disappointment, they exceeded my expectations this season. I am just happy to see them back in the playoffs and competing again.
I received so many laughs and great conversations from last month’s Valentine’s Day photo that I think it may need to become a monthly tradition. I truly appreciate your trust and loyalty. As always, referrals are the highest compliment you can give.
Remember, you do not need to find a pot of gold to put more money in your pocket. Let me review your policies and work a little magic for you.
Have a happy and safe St. Patrick’s Day!
