Your fam at Aggie Compass, recognizes that love is a basic human need. We advocate for a supportive community where everyone feels accepted and valued. Racism and discrimination are persistent and are part of the same systems that fail our transgender family – especially transgender people of color. We stand firmly with the LGBTQ+ community and especially our trans family to affirm their right to be themselves without fear or discrimination. We are committed to the ongoing work of undoing the pervasive physical, social, and emotional impact of transphobic and gendered culture and to the creation of a UC Davis community that is safe and welcoming for all people.

If you need a safe, supportive place to go tonight during the Turning Point event, please join us at the Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center for games, snacks, and movies!

To support undergraduate students who are caring for either children or adult family members, UC Davis has a process for these students to apply to receive priority registration. Priority registration enables students to receive an earlier Pass time for course registration. The program is intended to alleviate complications related to scheduling conflicts between parental and caregiving responsibilities and UC Davis classes and course work.

Student parents: if you have children who receive more than half of their support/care from you, including physically living in the same household

CalFresh Emergency Allotments are temporary increases to regular CalFresh benefit amounts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress authorized Emergency Allotments to help meet food needs. This means that since March 2020, households received an increase of at least $95 in CalFresh benefits per month.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲?
CalFresh Emergency Allotments will end the month of February 2023. A final Emergency Allotment will be issued in March 2023.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲?
CalFresh Emergency Allotments are ending because the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 ends the issuance of CalFresh Emergency Allotments to households in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?
You will get less CalFresh beginning April 2023. While the regular CalFresh benefit you are eligible for is not changing, you will no longer get the additional CalFresh benefit you have been getting due to the Emergency Allotments ending. The regular CalFresh benefit you get is the CalFresh amount put onto your EBT card between the 1st and 10th of each month. Your regular benefit amount is based on your circumstances, including your household size, income, and deductions. As this is a required change, there are no hearing rights related to the loss of Emergency Allotment benefits. No further action is required.
