I have been in sales most of my adult life. I sell insurance for a living but really struggle with the topic of life insurance. It makes people uncomfortable for all of the reasons — but I’ll tell you right now it is something I feel passionately about everyone having. I personally have a policy and so does my wife. If something happens to me - I want her and our children financially cared for.
What I’ve come to learn, though, is life insurance isn’t really about you—it’s about the family you leave behind. It’s about making sure your spouse can stay in the home you built together, your children can continue pursuing their dreams, and your loved ones aren’t burdened with financial stress while they’re grieving.
Life has a way of reminding us that tomorrow isn’t promised. While none of us like to think about worst-case scenarios, protecting the people we love means planning for the unexpected.
We all insure our cars, homes, and belongings, yet the income that supports everything often slips through the cracks and goes unprotected. Many life insurance policies are only $20 a month.
If you’ve been putting off reviewing your coverage—or haven’t looked into life insurance at all—now is a good time to start the conversation.
