You can go to https://missing-money.us/?search/claim/comptroller twice a year and search for unclaimed property in your name for free. It's usually money owed to you like insurance overpayments or something, can be from YEARS ago. I do a search 2x a year and there's usually always something the treasury is holding. It takes like 3 minutes to claim. They'll send a check within 5-10 days.
You can even claim property for parents or spouses who have passed away.
