April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. According to one phone company survey, almost 100% of teens agree that texting and driving is dangerous. However, half admitted doing it anyway! Looking at your phone for a few seconds while driving 60 mph blinds your eyes to the road. In those few seconds, you drove the length of a football field! Scary. Please pay attention to the road while driving. Auto insurance is a necessity, due to unfortunate circumstances where someone is distracted while driving and causes an accident. While we don’t know the exact origins of April Fool’s Day, the popular theory is that the new year used to begin on April 1st when we used the Julian calendar. However, all the way back in 1592, Pope Gregory the 8th introduced the Gregorian calendar that we use today. All those who still celebrated April 1st as the new year were known as fools!
