Bet On Our People. Bet On Students.

Su***de is the second-leading cause of death among college-aged students. Preston Ewing, 68V Land Acquisition Coordinator, decided to do something about it.

He helped form the Alabama chapter of The Fight Against Su***de, now active at the University of Alabama, Auburn, and Samford. The organization trains college students in mental fitness, gives them real tools for adversity, and builds a culture that talks openly about it. It's not a one-off seminar. It's changing campus culture.

The 68V Foundation exists to bet on people, invest in opportunity, and strengthen the communities we call home, and that starts with our own team. We're proud to support their upcoming event in Tuscaloosa on February 18th, 2027 at The Tuscaloosa River Market. When our people step up, we step up with them. We stay committed to causes that move the needle.

Yesterday, the 68 Ventures family had the honor of welcoming Senator Katie Britt to our office.

We are deeply grateful for her significant impact and her tireless work on behalf of Alabama. It is a privilege to count Wesley, Senator Britt, and their family as part of the 68V family.

Awareness. Adaptability. Adversity. Abundance.

Four principles. One challenge: stay uncomfortable enough to keep growing.

Former Green Beret and leadership coach Brad Israel took the Chasing Greatness stage to share his A4 framework for personal and professional growth — lessons forged through military service and carried into leadership, business, and everyday life.

→ Awareness: Stay “green” and keep learning. The moment we think we’ve arrived is the moment growth stops.

→ Adaptability: Prepare your mind to pivot. Rehearse the possibilities, expect the unexpected, and be willing to find another way forward.

→ Adversity: Don’t just compartmentalize the hard things. Work through them. Growth requires building the capacity to face discomfort, loss, and failure.

→ Abundance: Pour into the people around you. Leadership isn’t about protecting your piece of the pie — it’s about helping others grow alongside you.

Brad closed with a challenge worth carrying with us: step into discomfort. The struggle, uncertainty, and possibility of failure aren’t signs that you’re on the wrong path. They may be signs that you’re growing.
