Mid-West Truckers Risk Management Association MTRMA is a self-insured workers compensation program for transportation companies in the state of IL.

History of MTRMA
On June 15, 1991, the Mid-West Truckers Risk Management Association (MTRMA) was created through the combined efforts of the initial MTRMA members and Board of Directors, the Mid-West Truckers Association and Cannon Cochran Management Services, Inc. At that time in history, trucking companies in Illinois were faced with skyrocketing insurance rates, ineffective insurance services a

nd cancelled insurance coverage. Thus, the fundamental purpose of the program was then as it is today – to provide an affordable and stable long-term workers compensation alternative for reputable, qualifying trucking companies in Illinois.
