PMI = Private Mortgage Insurance 🏡

If your down payment is less than 20%, most lenders require PMI. It protects the lender, but it adds an extra cost to your monthly payment.

✨ The good news? PMI isn’t forever. Once you reach 20% equity in your home, you can usually remove it. Some loan programs can even help you avoid it from the start.
