🛠️ Clean-up and Repair Scams: Scammers often offer repair services at a low price. Be sure to research potential contractors, ask for credentials, identification, proof of insurance, and make sure to have a written signed contract detailing the work that will be done.

💸 Charity Scams: You may want to donate money to support the disaster recovery process. Scammers take advantage of good intentions by creating fake charities. Always research a charity before giving and ask questions about how your donation will be used.

🚘 Flooded Car Sales: Vehicles damaged by flooding may be sold on the car market. Some signs that a car may have been flooded include signs of water damage, mildew, fogged headlights, and a musty smell. Buyers should look for signs of damage, get a vehicle history report, and report any instances of fraud.
