A piece of Idaho is headed to the nation’s capital! 🎄🇺🇸 An 80-foot grand fir from the Salmon River Ranger District on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests has been selected as the 2026 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. The tree will make its way from north-central Idaho to Washington, D.C., later this year, where it will be decorated with thousands of handcrafted ornaments made by Idaho residents.
