As National Small Business Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to simply say...thank you.
Thank you to the more than 1 million small business owners across North Texas who wake up every day and choose to open their doors. Thank you to the more than 1.5 million people who clock in at those small businesses. Thank you to the dreamers, the risk-takers, and the dedicated professionals across every industry who together contribute an estimated $300 billion to our local economy each year. These small business statistics are impressive, but the people behind them are even more so.
For over 150 years, ANBTX has had the privilege of helping North Texas grow from a quite trading post on the Trinity River to one of the most dynamic regions in America. We've sat across the desk from generations of small business owners—many of them the children and grandchildren of customers we first served decades ago. We've never been the headline of the story. That honor belongs entirely to the entrepreneurs who took the risks and built something worth being proud of. But we're honored to play a small part in helping write it.
So, here's to you. The bakers and the builders. The makers and the doers. To every small business, thanking for making North Texas the remarkable place it is.
