Two companies I talked to this month thought they had Cyber insurance with their current agents.
They didn’t - they had a $250 “Cyber endorsement".
Both ended up paying $30,000+ and $50,000+ out of pocket after Cyber claims.
For their size, a true Cyber policy (around $3,000/year) would’ve covered it all.
That’s a $27,000 and a $47,000 difference... and a hard lesson in what “coverage” really means.
True Cyber insurance is no longer an optional coverage. It’s necessary.
