The Equita Group

The Equita Group The Equita Group is an Insurance Marketing Organization that specializes in Life & Medicare.

The Equita Group was founded in 1986 by a group of insurance professionals who wanted to provide a platform which made it easy for anyone with a decent work ethic to become successful in the insurance industry. For over 18 years we specialized in retirement and estate planning in a small number of states. We have since evolved into one of the largest Independent Marketing Organizations in the coun

try in multiple market segments, conducting business in over 42 states nationwide. We have two distinct distribution channels: Independent and Direct-to-Consumer. The Equita Group is a sales and marketing organization with product offerings in the areas of Health and Life Insurance. What makes us a unique organization is our emphasis on providing high quality marketing and leads to our two types of sales advisers: Inside and Outside sales. We have developed sales and marketing platforms for both our independent contractor channel as well as our direct-to-consumer channel. Our company consists of one service company and three marketing companies.

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR FINAL EXPENSE AGENTS 🚨

If you have clients paying their premiums through Direct Express, this is something you need to get ahead of NOW.

Here’s a blurb from Direct Express that was posted on 5/18:

“We want to inform you of an important change to the Direct Express® program. The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service has selected Fifth Third Bank as the new financial agent for the Direct Express® program.

With this change, new Direct Express card enrollments with Fifth Third Bank will begin May 2026. For Social Security beneficiaries who are existing Direct Express cardholders, the transition of accounts to the new financial agent will begin later this year or early next year. Beneficiaries will receive advance notice of the transition of their accounts and should continue to use their Comerica-issued cards following transition until the card expires. It is important for beneficiaries to keep their contact information up to date to ensure they receive all communications.”

Why does this matter?

As Direct Express transitions from Comerica Bank to Fifth Third Bank, existing cardholders will eventually have their accounts transitioned and will receive advance notice regarding any changes. During this process, clients may receive new cards or updated payment information, making it critical for agents to stay in contact with affected policyholders.

This creates a significant retention risk for Final Expense agents:

❌ Increased payment failures
❌ Higher pending lapse activity
❌ More policy lapses
❌ Unnecessary chargebacks
❌ Loss of hard-earned business

The agents who proactively contact their Direct Express clients and help them update their payment information when necessary will be in the best position to protect their persistency and preserve their income.

Don’t wait for a lapse notice or a chargeback to tell you there’s a problem.

📞 Start identifying your Direct Express clients today.
📋 Create a follow-up plan.
🔄 Stay informed on the transition timeline and help clients update their payment information if and when changes are required.

Remember: Writing business is important. Keeping business is where long-term success is built.

Protect your clients. Protect your persistency. Protect your income.

Partnerships like these are what make this business special.

This week at the AmeriLife Circle of Excellence trip we had the privilege of spending time with some incredible leaders from American Home Life. While production numbers, awards, and growth are certainly worth celebrating, it’s the relationships behind the business that truly make the difference.

At The Equita Group, we are grateful to have carrier partners who share our commitment to serving families, supporting agents, and building something meaningful together. American Home Life has been an outstanding partner, and we deeply appreciate their trust, collaboration, and unwavering support of our organization.

To the entire American Home Life team thank you for your friendship, your partnership, and for making this experience so memorable. We are excited about what we’ve accomplished together and even more excited about what lies ahead.

Here’s to continued growth, lasting relationships, and many more opportunities to celebrate success together.

🚨 Top Producers: Are You Winning… But Still Leaving Money on the Table?

If you’re consistently producing in the Life Insurance, Medicare, or Annuity markets, let me ask you a question:

❓ Are you being compensated at the level your production deserves?

Too many agents are writing incredible business every month while:

• Earning 20%-40% less than they should
• Building someone else’s empire
• Stuck in restrictive MLM-style compensation models
• Missing out on elite incentives, ownership opportunities, and world-class travel experiences

Meanwhile, the top independent agents are earning more, building real equity in their business, and being rewarded with unforgettable experiences around the globe.

At The Equita Group, we believe producers should be paid like producers.

✅ Competitive compensation
✅ True business ownership mindset
✅ Life, Medicare & Annuity solutions
✅ Elite training and support
✅ Industry-leading incentives and destination trips
✅ A partnership focused on YOUR success

You’ve worked too hard to settle for less.

If you’re producing and ready to explore what’s possible, let’s have a confidential conversation.

Your production should create freedom—not limitations.

At The Equita Group, we believe that great organizations are built by great people. That's why we are incredibly excited to announce that Jim Moseley has joined our leadership team as our new Vice President of Sales.

Jim brings more than a decade of experience helping agents and advisors grow their businesses, increase production, strengthen client relationships, and create long-term success. Throughout his career, he has developed a reputation for coaching, mentoring, and empowering sales professionals to reach levels they did not believe were possible.

What stood out most to us was not simply Jim's experience, but his passion for people. He understands that sustainable growth comes from developing individuals, building strong systems, and creating a culture where agents are equipped to succeed. His expertise in sales development, business growth strategies, needs-based selling, cross-selling, prospecting, and agent coaching aligns perfectly with where we are headed as an organization.

As we continue to expand our presence across Life Insurance, Medicare, Annuities, and Wealth solutions, Jim's leadership will play a critical role in helping our agents grow their production, improve their businesses, and create more opportunities for the families they serve.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim is a person of high character who genuinely cares about helping others win. He shares our belief that success is built through servant leadership, personal development, accountability, and a relentless commitment to excellence.

The Equita Group has never been more focused on investing in our agents, our leaders, and our future. Adding someone with Jim's experience, vision, and passion for agent success is another significant step forward in that journey.

Please join us in welcoming Jim Moseley to The Equita Group family. We are excited about the value he will bring to our organization and the impact he will have on the thousands of agents and leaders we serve.

Welcome to the team, Jim!
