Pretty much all carriers are now restricting coverage for Hyundais & Kias. It’s mainly yr 2011-2021 models that we are struggling finding NEW coverage for, but some carriers have black listed ALL yrs and models. Please note your premium WILL increase if you have these cars. It’s now considered a huge risk to insure. But so far, all carriers on our agency’s platform WILL renew your policy if already in force.

So… 1) Don’t shoot the messenger. You love me & this is my job to inform you. Your agent is NOT the bad guy nor is the insurance carrier!!!

2) Do not buy a Kia or Hyundai until you are 100% CERTAIN you can get it insured. Do your homework and call your agent.

3) IF you already have a Kia or Hyundai, esp year 2011-2021, try to get the security immobilizer if you do not already have it, and try to get a steering jack. Having these 2 safety features in place can provide SOME opportunities for coverage.
