Today, December 7th, we pause to remember the events of Pearl Harbor. We honor the more than 2,400 American service members and civilians who lost their lives in this tragic attack.

More than eight decades later, their sacrifice is not forgotten. We remain forever grateful to the "Greatest Generation" who answered the call of duty in the aftermath of tragedy, securing the freedoms we enjoy today.

Please join us in a moment of remembrance for the heroes of Pearl Harbor.

The Intrepid Museum in NYC will commemorate the day with remarks and a wreath-laying ceremony in the Hudson River.
