Over the past couple of years, I've heard of unexpected deaths happening to people who were young, in great health, and had either in their sleep or in an unfortunate accident passed away. My heart truly broke for the families affected by these unexpected losses.

I've heard from the families who were prepared for the worst not having to worry about mortgage payments, funeral or cremation costs, and having trusts created where a portion of the life insurance money would enter for their children's future. In those cases, it made me very happy for the families knowing that they weren't having to suffer any more than they already were.

I also heard from unprepared families who were left without knowing how to pay their mortgage without a second income, who were now in debt due to funeral costs and the debt of their loved ones now becoming their responsibility (creditors won't forgive debts due to death). My heart truly broke twice for them.

This is exactly why I became a life and health insurance broker, to help people. No one should be left to suffer more hurt and pain than they should after a heartbreaking loss.

So maybe the thought of insurance has been in the back of your mind, or you just believe it's too expensive (it's not), so instead of leaving it at the back of your mind, take action. Be prepared for the unexpected.
