Fire prevention starts with everyday habits—and a quick review of your home safety plan can make a meaningful difference.
As Fire Prevention Month approaches, we encourage families across Dalhart, the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma, and New Mexico to take a few practical steps:
• Test smoke alarms monthly and replace units that are 10 years old or older.
• Stay in the kitchen while cooking, and keep flammable items away from heat sources.
• Create and practice a home escape plan with two exits from each room and a designated outdoor meeting place.
• Avoid overloading electrical outlets, and replace damaged cords promptly.
• Keep portable heaters at least three feet from anything that can burn—and never leave them unattended.
For a small fire, remember PASS: Pull the pin, Aim at the base, Squeeze the handle, and Sweep side to side. If there is any doubt about your safety, get out immediately and call 911.
At Full Circle Insurance Agency, we are proud to help our neighbors protect the homes, families, farms, and businesses they value most. If you would like to review your homeowners, farm and ranch, or business insurance coverage, our team is here with clear, local guidance.
