The FICO credit score has been the benchmark for residential lending. There are a handful of lenders who are also now using the VantageScore which uses a slightly different scoring model than FICO. Not on every occasion, but some borrowers may have a higher VantageScore which could result in a better rate & lower PMI if applicable. :)

Freddie Mac just made huge changes that benefit using asset depletion for income. Previously, you would divide the eligible asset by 240 months, now you can divide by 180 months. If you have $750k in eligible assets, this would provide an additional $1,041 of qualifying income :)
