Not sure how legal this is.

Honestly, if you have to ask yourself that question it’s probably not legal.

But I want to know your thoughts.

Credit Repair guy said he can get something taken off a credit report long enough so the client can get a mortgage and then it will reappear on the credit after closing.

Thoughts?

Recently, there was a change on how mortgage companies look at credit scores.

We are now able to look at the vantage score as well as the FICO score.

In this particular case, there was a collection account reporting on the FICO score that was not reporting to the Vantage score

So when you look at the credit, there was basically 100 point difference in the score. In the past, you could not use the vantage score but now you can.
