Back-to-school safety starts before the first bell rings.
Whether students walk, bike, ride the bus, get dropped off, or drive themselves, a quick safety reminder can help everyone arrive more safely:
• Walkers: Use sidewalks and crosswalks, look both ways, and make eye contact with drivers before crossing.
• Bikers: Wear a properly fitted helmet, ride with traffic, and stop fully at intersections.
• Bus riders: Stay well back from the curb, wait for the bus to stop, and never cross without the driver’s signal.
• Drop-off families: Follow school-zone speed limits and drop-off procedures—and never pass a stopped school bus.
• Teen drivers: Buckle up, put phones away, and give themselves extra time so there is no need to rush.
At Todd Hoffman Agency, LLC, we know protecting what matters most begins with everyday choices. What is one school-zone safety reminder your family reviews each year?
