Pre-Approval vs. Pre-Qualification — let’s settle this once and for all.
A pre-qualification letter? That’s basically a guess. A pre-approval? That’s the real deal — your income, assets, and employment have actually been verified. When you sit down with me for a buyer consultation, we’re not just running numbers, we’re making sure you understand every piece of your application and walk away with zero questions.
Here’s the thing though — I see it all the time. Buyers head to their bank chasing a “better rate,” and in the process they lose the thoroughness AND the personalized service that comes with working with a lender.
Banks do a little bit of everything. Mortgage loan officers? We only do mortgages. That’s the difference. 💁♀️
