This week we had the opportunity to:

✨ Teach a Peachy Pepper Jelly class at the Tennessee Master Gardener Conference
✨ Help participants learn the art of making Cowboy Candy (candied jalapeños)
✨ Host our Countywide FCE Meeting featuring a wonderful plant, seed, and cutting swap
✨ Keep our community moving through Drums Alive and Chair Yoga classes
✨ Connect with residents across the county through a variety of educational and wellness programs

🐝 What a successful two-day Tennessee Master Beekeeping Program held right here in Cumberland County! We were excited to welcome participants from across the area for two full days of hands-on learning, education, and fellowship centered around the fascinating world of beekeeping. 🍯 Participants enjoyed in-person instruction and valuable hands-on activities that helped build confidence and knowledge for both new and experienced beekeepers alike.

A special thank you to the Tennessee Master Beekeeping Program, State Apiculturist Jennifer Tsuruda, and State Apiarist Mike Studer for their partnership and leadership in making these educational opportunities possible in cooperation with county Extension offices across Tennessee.🌼

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this program such a great success. We love seeing our community continue to learn, grow, and support agriculture in Cumberland County! 🐝

Canning class tonight was so fun!
Participants learned safe canning practices while making their own sweet-and-spicy jars of Cowboy Candy to take home.

Canning can feel intimidating at first, but tonight proved that with a little guidance and hands-on practice, anyone can build confidence in the kitchen.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us tonight and helped make the class so much fun. We loved seeing new faces, seasoned canners, and friends learning together around the table.
