There's just something about soup season, isn't there? ❤ This month, we are sharing Sandy's Minestrone Soup recipe, and I can personally tell you it's a good one! Sandy brought it into the office earlier this week for us to enjoy, and it was the perfect way to warm up and share a little homemade goodness! 🍲

👀🎨 WHERE’S JAKE WEDNESDAY?! 🎨👀

This week, Jake is getting a little creative! ✨He’s hanging out at Queen City Art Center in downtown Crookston—and if you haven’t checked this place out yet, you’re missing out! (formerly the Crookston Times Building)

The Queen City Art Center was opened in August of 2025, by Jenn (Steinbrink) Walz. She is the brains and creativity behind it all, and her husband Joe and dad, Robin, are amazing at bringing her vision to life! To top it off, Jenn started working as an Art Teacher this year at Highland Elementary School, for students age Kindergarten-5th grade too!

At Queen City Art Center you’ll find:
🎨 Art supplies, kits, and things you didn’t even know you needed
🖼 Artwork featuring local artists
🏺 Paint Your Own Pottery — pop in and get creative during regular hours or set-up a time for your group! (work outing, team bonding, girls nights, etc)
🖌️ Classes taught by area artists of all kinds (watercolor, mosaic, yoga & more) – watch their page and website for details and to get registered
🥂 A beautiful space available to rent for events, parties & gatherings (photos shared are from Erin’s daughter’s grad party!)

It’s a pretty great place to shop local, support local artists, AND have a little fun while you’re at it! ❤️ Check out the photos of some of the art supplies, artwork for sale, pottery painting area, pottery pieces, and event space!

Out on the town for a good cause! ❤

Erin and Madi spent some time yesterday & today helping deliver meals for Riverview's Home Delivered Meals program. And we are so glad we got to be a small part of it! 🚗🍽🍜

One of the things we love most about living and working in a small town is seeing how many good people are willing to show up, lend a hand, and take care of their neighbors. 🥰

We're proud to be part of this community and love finding ways to give back when we can. Small town. Big hearts. ❤

🚜 Sugar beet harvest is officially here! 🚜 (not just pre-haul anymore). Tonight kicks off the annual 2026 sugar beet harvest in the Crookston & Red River Valley area!

You know what that means? The roads get busier, the trucks get a little fuller, and the mud seems to find its way EVERYWHERE! We'll have more vehicles on the roads, loaded trucks, farm equipment moving fields, and drivers from near & far sharing our roads! 🚗 🚛 🚜

It's a good time for ALL of us to slow down, stay alert, be patient, and give ourselves a little extra time! 🙏 ⏳ 🗺️

Wishing all of the farmers, truck drivers, harvest crews, and everyone traveling our roads a quick, fruitful, and most importantly, a SAFE 2026 sugar beet campaign! 🌱 💛 💙

Today was a bittersweet day at the office. ❤️

After 1 year and 9 months with us, today was Nicole’s last day at Erin LaPlante Agency.

She has been such an important part of our office, and we are so grateful for the time, dedication, and care she has given to our customers. But beyond all of that, she has brought so much joy, laughter, and fun to our office every single day. We’re definitely going to miss having her here! **Lots of fun pics and memories**

She is moving away from Crookston, which is what brings her time with our office to an end. While we’re sad to see her go, we’re also excited for her as she starts this next adventure. We know she has so many great things ahead of her!

Thank you, Nicole, for everything you’ve done for our customers, our office, and for me personally over the past year and nine months. ❤️

Please join us in wishing her the very best in her next chapter! We’re going to miss you! 🥹❤️

Doesn't Nicole's Grinder recipe sound good - you can put it into PASTA, like the recipe says, or you also could make it without the pasta and eat the "salad" ingredients on their own or on a hoagie/bun too! YUMM!!
