Having just purchased a new vehicle myself, it was a big relief knowing I could drive off the lot being fully covered should something happen on my drive home. You’re driving to the store when a small rock flies off of the truck in front of you and chips your windshield. By the time you finish shopping that small chip has started to spider, and just like that you need to replace your windshield.
