As many of you know, Erie Insurance was hit by a cyber attack a couple weeks ago. In order to minimize the risks to you, the insureds, Erie immediately shut down all of their systems.

It has been a long, complicated process for services to be restored but I am finally back up and running.

I definitely want to take the time to thank each and everyone of you! Everyone has been so kind and patient and I truly could not ask for better clients and friends.

I will be working through the weekend to catch everything up and I'll send confirmation when I do.

I've had quite a few conversations lately about flood insurance. I think what happened in North Carolina has a lot of people concerned and rightfully so.

Flood and water run off is typically not covered on a standard homeowners policy, you need additional coverage.

The first thing to know about flood Insurance is that it's expensive! The last few flood policies that I've written have cost between $3000 and $4000 a year. If you're near the river, your mortgage company may require flood insurance, but if you're outside the flood zone there are other coverages and cheaper options.

Hi Everyone.

I’ll be out of the office on Monday and Tuesday and flying back on Wednesday.

I’m in Iceland on a quest to see the northern lights and check an item off my bucket list. I actually lucked out and saw them last night! 😁

I left on Friday when the weather was getting bad and I know many have claims or claim questions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ll be working remotely this whole time.

Iceland has a 4 hour time difference (they’re 4 hours ahead) so I’ve scheduled all my activities for the next two days before the office opens or after it closes. So, if you have a question, claim, policy change etc just give me a call!

As a reminder, coverage for Earthquakes are not automatically covered under basic homeowners policies. This coverage, along with other coverages like, Sinkhole, Service Line, Water/Sewer Drain Backup etc must be added.
